Maria Basualdo is a philosopher and licensed mental health counselor, with more than 15 years of experience working with a diverse and multicultural population, including individuals from the criminal justice system, civil and family court systems, and self-referred clients.
She is a successful mental health provider, with vast experience in an extensive range of mental health services, such as treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD and other syndromes, domestic violence, substance abuse, anger management, parenting, crisis and trauma intervention, and immigration hardship reports.
She has been featured on Univision and Thrive Global and is a regular contributor on current issues, including psychological and philosophical perspectives on women and immigrants, among other issues.
She holds a M.S. in Counselor Education and Mental Health Counseling (Summa Cum Laude), a B.A. in Psychology from Florida International University (Summa Cum Laude), and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires (Summa Cum Laude).
